Edna Roberta Metts, 84, of Uriah, died Sunday, April 22, 2007 at Monroe County Hospital.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Uriah First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford E. Metts Sr. and son, Warren Eugene Metts.

Survivors include six sons, Clifford (Betty) Metts Jr. of Ft Walton Beach, Fla., Roger (Hazel) Mets of Uriah, Howard (Muffy) Metts of Prattville, Donald (Nell) Metts of Uriah, Paul Bennett (Brenda) Metts of Atmore and Mike (Kim) Metts of Crossville, Tenn.; five daughters, Kate (Douglas) Waters and Rondy (Donald) Odom, all of Uriah, Ann (John) Haynes of Dallas, Ga., June (Mac) Turberville of Waynewright and Sandra (Larry) Fralick of Uriah; eight sisters, Ellotte Shanahan of Staten Island, N.Y., Sally Kilcrease and Dorothy Lambert, both of Bay Minette, Doris Peterson of Panama City, Fla., Shirley Green of Milton, Fla., Myrtle Waters of Repton, Nina Mooney and Lois Jordan, both of Excel; 26 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 24 from the chapel of Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Wittington officiating. Burial followed at Sowell Old Field Cemetery in Goodway.

Arrangements were made by Johnson Funeral Home, Monroeville.
