DAPHNE, Ala.—The Old Methodist Church Museum of Daphne has set an open house for 2:30 p.m., Sunday, May 24 to honor all U. S. service men and women, with emphasis on recognition of World War II veterans.
A special invitation is extended to those veterans who made the May 6 Honor Flight-sponsored trip to see the war memorial in Washington, D.C. Such veterans are encouraged to share this experience—along with available photos—with guests.
A monument to local service men and women is located on the grounds of the museum.
Refreshments will be served.
The museum is located at 405 Dryer Ave., and is open to the public free of charge on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 1 to 4 p.m.
