William J. “Bill” McLean, 83, a native of Easthampton and Springfield Massachusetts, and a resident of Fairhope, died Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2007.
He was a teacher in the Springfield public school system for many years. He was a veteran of World War II and served with the U.S. Army in the Battle of the Bulge and took part in the D-Day invasion.
He was preceded in death by his wife Lorraine A. Couchon.
Survivors include a sister, Margaret Bender of Madison, Wis.
