Duffie McInnis, 93, a native of Louisiana and a resident of Fairhope, died Saturday, May 12, 2007.

He graduated from Kasatchie High School, Kasatchie, La., in 1932; in 1936, he received his AB Degree in education at Northwestern State University, Natchitoches, La., and in 1954 he received his master’s degree in education from Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, La. He was a teacher at Boyce High School in Boyce, La., from 1936 until 1945; Forest Hill High School, Forest Hill, La., from 1945 until 1959; and was principal at Forest Hill High School in Forest Hill, La., from 1959 until 1969 and Glenmora High School, Glenmora, La., from 1969 until 1975.

Survivors include two sons, William B. “Bill” McInnis of Fairhope and David L. McInnis of Indianapolis; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 16 at Harmony Baptist Church, Glenmora, La. Burial follwed at Roselawn Cemetery in Glenmora, La.

The family requests memorial donations be made to Harmony Baptist Church 805 10th Avenue, Glenmora, LA 71433.

Arrangements were made by Mack Funeral Home and Crematory, Robertsdale.
