Curtis “Big Hawk” McDonald Sr., 72, a native of Chatom and life-long resident of Fairhope, died Tuesday, June 19, 2007, at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope.
He was preceded in death by a son, Christopher McDonald.
Survivors include a very devoted friend, Willie Dean Smith of Fairhope; 11 children, Curtis (Felecia) McDonald Jr. of Mobile, Thaddeus (Lynette) Buchanan of Saraland, Rickey (Hazel) Smith of Fairhope, Denise McDonald, Donna (Ambus) Rothschild all of Daphne, Barbara Smith, Theresa Hunt, Wanda (Eric) McNeil, Martin “Brink” Bell, Alyce “Renae” Bell, Lucretia “Tamara” Smith, all of Fairhope; his wife, Eloise McDonald of Daphne; daughter-in-law, Lashaun McDonald of Daphne, 21 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held beginning at noon, followed by funeral services at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 23 from the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Twin Beech Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., Fairhope.
