FAIRHOPE, Ala. — It used to be that candy bars were the prized fund raiser for student activities. My, how times have changed. With funds being cut and the proverbial belt being tightened in local schools, it’s more important than ever for extracurricular organizations to find new and innovative ways to raise the needed money for basic operations.

The award winning Fairhope High School Band is “bouncing” a new idea this year and hosting a unique fundraiser. The first ever “Mattress Madness Sale” will be held Saturday (Feb. 15) at the Fairhope High School Band Room between 10am and 5pm. The profits will go directly to the band for purchase of supplies and travel expenses.

All sizes of mattresses will be available in orthopedic, pillow-top, latex, memory foam and gel bed styles. All name brand items are brand new with complete factory warranties. Delivery is available as well as layaway. Cash, checks and credit cards are accepted. As an incentive to customers, these name brand mattresses will be discounted between 30 to 60 percent off retail prices.

By purchasing a mattress from the FHS Band, you will certainly bring sweet dreams to yourself as well as the students of Fairhope High School Band.
