Jean M. Matthews, 87, a native of Allentown, Pa., and a 14-year resident of Fairhope, died Sunday, June 1, 2007.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Burgess Matthews, her father, Rodney B. Millar, her mother, Ella T. Delbo Millar, and step-mother, Miriam Millar.
Survivors include a daughter, Blair Blaine of Bangor, Maine; two sons, Perry (Meta) Matthews of Westminster, Colo., and Rodney (Karen) Matthews of Fairhope; 10 grandchildren, four great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, July 6 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 7 at Fairhope United Methodist. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens of Fairhope
The family requests memorial donations be made to the Fairhope United Methodist Church, 155 South Section Street, Fairhope, AL 36532.
