Mary Helen Thomas, 62, died Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at her home in Bay Minette. Mrs. Thomas was native of Fayette, and a resident of Bay Minette for most of her life.
She is survived by her husband, Elbert Thomas Jr.., Bay Minette; twCharles (Kimberly) Thomas, Perdido, and Roy (Nellie) Thomas, Summerdale; three daughters, Paula Douglas, Perdido, Betty Thomas, Bay Minette, and Teresa Thomas, Rabun; two brothers, James Gann, Fayette, and Joe Gann, Winfield; five sisters, Sara Fay Moore, Fayette, Kay Miller, Fayette, Sara Gann, Fayette, Katherine Sprinkle, Bay Minette, and Rachel Shivers, Bay Minette; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Thursday, May 17, 2012 at 10 a.m. at the Petty Eastside Chapel with the Rev. Charles Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at the Pine Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 16, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Petty Eastside Chapel. Pallbearers will be Randal Moore, Phillip Moore, C.J. Knox, Chris Travis, Garran Martin and Gary Thomas.
