Mary Elizabeth “Betsy” Kirkland, 83, a native of Foley and a longtime resident of Monroeville, died Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2010.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Olivia Miller; and her husband, Roger Lee Kirkland Sr.
Survivors include a son, Roger Lee (Jean) Kirkland Jr.; daughter, Holly Kirkland Crumpton; grandchildren, Kimberlee (Gerald) Dodd, Amy (Nick) Volpe, Jim (Maria) Kirkland, Sara Elizabeth Worley and Robb (Libby) Crumpton; great-grandchildren, Cole Kirkland, Nicholas Volpe, Will Volpe, Gracie Worley, Harris Crumpton and Miller Crumpton; sister, Mickey Blackwell McConnell; ande two brothers in-law, L.J. “Sam” (Evie) Kirkland and Robert (Elsie) Kirkland.
Visitation begins at 9 a.m., Aug. 20 at Pine Rest Funeral Home in Foley. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. at Pine Rest Memorial Park.
