In loving memory
On Saturday, May 16, 2015, Mary Claudia McInnis Key, age 66, passed away peacefully at home in Spanish Fort, Ala. surrounded by family. After having fought through a lengthy illness, Mary can now rest in peace knowing this is not the end, but the beginning.
Mary is survived by her husband, Robert C. Key; her son, Morgan A. Barnett; her daughters, Mary E. Key and Ashleigh C. Key (Sweatt); and grandchildren, Mary C. Sweatt and Hunter J. Sweatt; sisters, Joye Wheeler, Lynn Wilkins; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Claude Andress McInnis and Mary Wall McInnis; sister, Patricia M. Caldwell; and brother, Frank F. McInnis.
Mary having grown up in Monroe County, moved to the Mobile area in the early 1970s. It was in Mobile that Mary began her professional career in the insurance industry, which lasted over three decades. Mary prided herself on taking care of her clients and developed many lasting relationships.
Mary was a loving mother, grandmother and wife. She devoted her life to caring for her children and even more so for her grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2015, at 2 p.m., at Jubilee Memorial Gardens. Friends and family are welcome to join us in celebrating Mary's life.
