Martha Barber “Rosie” Stallworth, born March 6, 1940 in Russellville, Ala.
The earthly world lost an angel Friday, Aug. 21, 2015 when Rosie Stallworth passed away. She had been recovering from a brief illness, and passed quite peacefully and suddenly.
A mother, grandmother, wife and dear friend to countless, Rosie was a lifetime educator and had retired from the Baldwin County Public System.
Rosie was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Alma Barber of Haleyville, Ala.; and her husband of 47 years, J.F. “Fred” Stallworth Sr.
Survivors include two loving children, James F. “Jay” Stallworth Jr. (Brandi) of Point Clear, Ala., Sally Stallworth McPeak and her husband Mike of Fairhope, Ala.; her adored grandchildren, James F. Stallworth III and Abby Anderson; as well as her brother, Chester M. Barber and his wife Kathy of Haleyville, Ala.; many nieces and nephews who all lovingly called her Aunt Rose.
A more devoted mother, grandmother, wife and friend has never lived. She will be greatly missed as she watches over us from Heaven.
