MARLOW, Ala. — South Baldwin residents are urged to use caution when traveling along Ridge Road in the Marlow community.
According to the Baldwin County Emergency Management Agency, a massive hornet or yellow jacket’s nest is located on the road, which is off County Road 9 near County Road 24.
“The hornets have been swarming vehicles stopping near the area. Residents in the area are advised to not travel on foot or bike through this area and to use caution driving vehicles through the area,” Baldwin EMA Director Mitchell Sims said.
The Baldwin County Highway Department and the Fish River/Marlow Fire and Rescue Department worked with the Baldwin County Emergency Management Agency to resolve this potential danger. However, caution is still advised when in the area.
