LOXLEY, Ala. — According to published reports, a Loxley man, Eddie L. White, was killed Dec. 18 when his pickup truck collided with a MedStar ambulance. White was pronounced dead at South Baldwin Regional Medical Center
The MedStar ambulance was en route to an emergency call when it and White’s truck collided about 4:20 a.m. at the intersection of Baldwin County 68 and Alabama 59.
Neither MedStar nor the Loxley police responded to attempts to contact them.
Conditions were foggy that morning.
A paramedic and an emergency medical technician who were in the ambulance were injured. They were examined at the hospital and released.
According to reports, White was one of the founders of the Loxley Bengals Youth Football league. His funeral was Tuesday, with burial scheduled at Hinote Cemetery in Robertsdale.
