Magnolia Springs to review comprehensive plan

Posted

Magnolia Springs Mayor Charles  Houser suggested Tuesday at the the town council meeting that the comprehensive plan be reviewed.

“I would like to get it on the agenda for February and review our comprehensive plan. I think we should do this every year and see what projects we said we would be working on, which ones we are working on and where we stand,” he said. “I think it would be nice to look at that top 25 list and see which ones we have done, which ones we haven’t done and then try and prioritize the ones that are still on the list.”

The town council also made plans to set up specific duties for the deputy who works in Magnolia Springs.

The town council also discussed changes to be made to the town’s sewer regulations. The town council is very concerned about waste near the river because of the river’s status as an Outstanding Alabama Waterway. The new regulations will be voted on at a later date.

The town council will consider proclaiming Arbor Day February 26, as requested by the garden club.
