Lucas Cole “Lukeman” Nims, 14, of Pensacola passed away Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013.

Lucas attended Escambia Westgate School and The Miracle League.

Lucas loved trains, fire trucks and motorcycles. He was on hospital homebound school services. He liked to watch Alabama football games with his daddy.

We will forever miss his laughter at us and hollering at the TV.

He was predeceased by his grandfather, John C. Nims Sr.

He is survived by his loving parents, James C. Nims and Kim Betz; sister, Ashley Suzanne Betz; nephew, Greyson W. L. Jones; grandparents, Nana and Pops, Terrell and Debra Kaye Dawson, Granny Grunt, Nancy  Pitman, and Momma Nims, Ella S. Nims; numerous aunts, uncles, numerous caregivers and PSA nurses.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2013, from 6 until 8 p.m., at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North, 1000 Hwy. 29S, Cantonment, Fla.

Funeral services will at 9 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013 at the funeral home, with the Rev. Andy Pawels officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Rest Cemetery, Foley.

Pallbearers will be John C. Nims Jr., Cody Nims, Terrell Dawson, Cole Wilson, Tim Brown and Mark Viau.

Honorary pallbearers will be Corey Brown and Brett “Brettman” Creighton.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Lucas may be made to Escambia Westgate School, 10050 Ashton Brosnahan Road, Pensacola, FL 32534. This was Lucas’ special needs school, and would greatly help their program.
