LOXLEY, Ala. – The Loxley Garden Club started the season out with a Friendship Tea which turned out really well. Refreshments were enjoyed and fellowship.

We welcomed new members. The Club has helped many organizations such as the Heart Association, ARCBC, Robertsdale Health and others.

Officers for 2011 are Betty Vasko, president; Mary Malone, vice president; Brenda Hamilton, second vice president; Janice Chrisoferson, treasurer; Claudia Sweeney, secretary; Julia Hanchey, corresponding secretary; Bonnie Dubrason, photographer; and Joyce Brown, yearbook.

At our next meeting we will have Professor Brenda Richfield giving a program on waxing live flowers to make them last longer. The Club meets at 2 p.m. the second Thursday of every month at the Loxley Civic Center. The next meeting will be Oct. 13.
