Loxley cancels municipal court due to COVID-19

LOXLEY, Alabama — On its social media page on Wednesday, Aug. 4, the town of Loxley announced that municipal court was canceled on Thursday, Aug. 5 “due to an increase of positive COVID-19 cases.”

“If you were scheduled for court (Aug. 5) your new court date will be Thursday, September 2, 2021 at 3:00 PM at the Loxley Civic Center,” according to the post.

Notices with the new court date have been mailed out, according to the post.

“Please verify that the Municipal Court office has your correct mailing address,” according to the post. “You are responsible for your court date.”

Non-court appearance payments can still be made online at townofloxley.org, over the phone at 866-849-3906 and in the drop box located on the left wall of the municipal court office at 2139 E. Relham Ave.
