GULF SHORES AND ORANGE BEACH, ALA. – The Tennessee Society of Association Executives (TNSAE), an organization dedicated to meeting the needs of the associations and professionals it serves in the Volunteer State, presented Beth Gendler of Gulf Shores & Orange Beach Tourism (GSOBT) and Sports Commission (GSOBSC) its coveted 2013 Associate Member of the Year award.
"Beth Gendler has been one of the TNSAE’s most faithful and supportive associate members, despite living in a different state," said Betsy Hilt, executive director of TNSAE. "She has effectively led and served on a variety of TNSAE committees, including chairing the most demanding committee, the Annual Tradeshow Committee."
Since its inception in 1963, TNSAE has provided expansive professional and personal development services for its members. Since joining TNSAE in 2002, Gendler has faithfully served in the following capacities: golf and convention committees, board of directors in 2008 and co-chair for the Annual Trade Show Committee in 2011. She was also chosen as the organization’s Committee Chair of the Year in 2011.
“It’s incredibly rewarding and humbling to be recognized by your peers and clients, and I’m beyond appreciative,” said Gendler. “TNSAE is a fantastic organization, and I’m truly honored to be part of such a phenomenal base of professionals and associations.”
Gendler has been with GSOBT since 2002, serving as director of sales before being promoted to vice president of sales in 2011. GSOBT serves as a sponsor for TNSAE.
