Little Crusaders Learning Center is beginning a new chapter under a new name: Curiosity Cove Early Learning Center.

The Daphne child care center announced the change Sept. 2, saying the new name reflects its commitment to nurturing children’s natural curiosity through exploration, discovery and play.

For years, Little Crusaders has cared for young children and served families throughout the Daphne community. As the center transitions to Curiosity Cove, it said families can expect the same focus on caring educators, meaningful relationships and helping every child learn and thrive.

The new name is rooted in the center’s belief that children learn best when they are encouraged to wonder, explore, question and discover. The center said it will build on the relationships, care and commitment families have come to know and trust.

“We wanted a name that captures the sense of possibility children bring with them each day,” said Rivers Calvert in a news release. “Curiosity Cove reflects the joyful, hands-on learning environment we want to create — a place where children feel safe to explore their world, develop new skills and grow into confident learners.”

As part of the next chapter, Curiosity Cove is also partnering with Gulf Regional Early Childhood Services, or GRECS, the region’s child care resource and referral agency.

Through the collaboration, the organizations will combine shared values, early childhood expertise and additional support to strengthen the center and its services for children and families.

Families will begin seeing the Curiosity Cove name along with a new visual identity. Despite the changes in branding, the center said the heart of its program will remain unchanged.

Additional information about the transition will be shared directly with families as it becomes available.
