Lester Poer Jr., age 85, of Gulf Shores passed away on Nov. 10, 2012.
He was a United States Navy Veteran. Survived by his wife of over 63 years, Katherine Poer of Gulf Shores; one daughter, Carol (Dave) McNeff Tompkins of Raleigh N.C; two sons, Stephen (Anita) Poer of Birmingham; Daniel (Sheila) Poer of Gulf Shores; two brothers, Woodrow Poer of Talladega; Douglas Poer of Mulga; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be Tuesday Nov 13, 2012 at 2 p.m. from the Lagoon Baptist Church with interment to follow in Miller Cemetery. Visitation for Poer will be at the church from 1 p.m. until time of service. Arrangements by Cason Funeral Service, Foley.
