Benjamin James “B.J.” Leonard, 85, died Monday, March 10, 2008 at his home.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby Leonard of Marlow; two sons, Jimmy (Edith) Leonard and Tommy (Rita) Leonard, both of Fairhope; daughter, Ann (Raymond) Beaty of Fairhope; three step-children, Jerry (Sandra) Green of Daphne, Bobby Green of Marlow and Alice (Terry) Kuhn of Winter Haven, Fla.; four sisters, Velma Poulin of Daytona, Fla., Govie Merkel of Lawrenceburg, Ind., Myrtice (Melvin) Carter of San Antonio, Texas, and Myrtle (Billy) Smith of Memphis, Tenn.; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; nieces nephews; and other relatives and friends.
A memorial service was held Saturday, March 15 at Foley Church of God with the Rev. David Daniels officiating.
