Leon LeJeune, 80, born in Valverda, La. and a resident of Stapleton, died Sunday, Sept. 1, 2013 at Montrose Bay Rehab.

He was a power house operator (retired) at Scott Paper Co.

He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, having served with the U.S. Air Force.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Katharyne (Geffert) LeJeune of Stapleton; one son, Kevin (Donna) LeJeune of Stapleton; one daughter, Bonnie (David) Rosser of Del Rio, Texas; one brother, Daniel LeJeune of Bunkie, La.; three sisters, Lucy Bluion, Vivian Smith and Bessie Favaron, all of Baton Rouge, La.; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Gwendolyn Martin; one sister, Isabelle Graff; and one brother, Oliver LeJeune.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2013, from 2 until 7 p.m., at Norris Funeral Home in Bay Minette.
