Sen. Greg Albritton presented the Bay Minette Public Library with a check for $18,000 from the Legislative Community Service Fund.
This contribution will be used to purchase books, eBooks and eAudiobooks. The library will also make enhancements to its in-house Book Sale Room and will implement a new QR code project to highlight the many historical displays found throughout the building. This project will allow library guests to scan a QR code to learn about the significance of each display as well as pertinent background and historical information. Some examples of the displays include the Col. Benjamin Willis shadowbox showcasing the local's military history as well as the space collection donated by Wayne Davis.
"We are so grateful for Sen. Albritton's continued support of our library and all we do," Bailey said. "It means so much to us."
