Kate Olive Lee, 92, died June 1, 2010 in Fairhope.
She was born Nov. 12, 1917 in Ramer, Tenn. She was a graduate of Lynn High School and grew up in Natural Bridge. She was a faithful member of Fairfield Highlands Baptist Church for 50 years, from 1957 to 2007. She taught Sunday School there for most of those years.
When she moved to Fairhope in 2007 she became a member of Fairhope Avenue Baptist Church. She was loved and admired by family and friends and was an example of service, humility, faithfulness and gentleness. Her life was never easy, but it was full and happy.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Jefferson Davis Lee.
Survivors include four sons, James Terry Lee of Fairhope, Jeffrey Paul Lee of Indian Springs, John Daniel Lee of Panama City Beach, Fla., and Joe David Lee of Indian Springs; her brother Beecher Olive of New Braunsels, Texas; many nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 4 at Highland Memorial Gardens in Bessemer with Harry Sims officiating.
The family requests memorial donations be made to Fairfield Highlands Baptist Church, 910 Ninth St., Midfield, AL 35228.
