Vesper Zepher Lechtenberger, 92, a native of Clarinda, Iowa and a resident of the Pine Grove community of Bay Minette, died Sunday, April 15, 2007 at her residence.
She was a junior high and elementary school teacher for 32 years. Retiring with Creston Iowa School System.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Merle Lechtenberger and her daughter, Dr. Cheryl Lynn.
Survivors include two sons, Merle Victor (Ethel) Lechtenberger Jr., of Anna, Ill., and Jimmy Lee (Mary) Lechtenberger of Avoca, Iowa; daughter, Clara Birdie (Larry) Falk of Pine Grove; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 21 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses Bay Minette Congregation in Pine Grove with Dewayne Brannum officiating.
Arrangements are by Norris Funeral Home, Bay Minette.
