FAIRHOPE, Alabama --- Leadership Baldwin County class of 2011-2012 met April 12 at the Weeks Bay Estuarine to hear a variety of speakers on Alabama land preservation and environmental impact issues.
Speakers were Dr. George Crozier, recently retired executive director of the Dauphin Island Sea Lab; Debbie DeVore, U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service; Pattie Powell, director of State Lands Division; LG Adams, director of Weeks Bay Estuarine Reserve; and Walter Ernest, director of Weeks Bay Foundation. The class enjoyed a boat tour of Weeks Bay and Fish River.
A highlight of the boat tour included viewing a bald eagle nest and two of its majestic residents.
