Eleanor Callaway Lauder, 96, a native and former resident of Orange Beach and a resident of Hoover, died Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010.
She was a charter member of the Orange Beach Baptist Church, director of Bible School, and Sunday School superintendent. She drove the school bus from Orange Beach to Foley for 32 years. She was active in the formation of the Orange Beach Community Center.
Survivors include two daughters, Marie Lauder (Ted) Teague of Hoover and Marian Lauder Richburg of Panama City, Fla.; two brothers, David (Marie) Callaway of Pensacola, Fla., and Macklin (Jackie) Callaway of Foley; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation begins at 10 a.m. with funeral services at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12 at the First Baptist Church of Orange Beach. Interment will follow at Swift Presbyterian Cemetery, Miflin.
