James Merrill Lambert, 78, a native of Gallipolis, Ohio, and a resident of Spanish Fort, died Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope.
He was a U.S. Customs Agent and served our country for 21 years in the U.S. Air Force. While in the Air Force he served in Vietnam.
Survivors include his wife, Eva Nell Johnson Lambert of Spanish Fort; son, David Leslie (Janet) Lambert of Augusta, Ga.; two daughters, Lori Kathryn (Rex) Kundiger of Orlando, Fla., and Lisa Ann (Jon) Taulbee of Spanish Fort; brother, Charles Lionel Lambert of Lakeland, Fla.; sister, Mary Lou Hunt of Ironton, Ohio; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 6 at Abundant Life Christian Center Church with the Rev. Joe Drake officiating. A graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. at Barrancas National Cemetery, NAS Pensacola, Fla. Military honors will be rendered by the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard.
The pallbearers will be Kyle Kundiger, Kevin Kundiger, Rex Kundiger, James White, Dylan White and Maurice “Boomer” O’Bryan IV.
