DAPHNE, Ala.— In 50 days, contractors working on the Lake Forest capital roadwork said at a status meeting Thursday that the work was progressing ahead of schedule, and many aspects of the project have already been completed.

On Thursday, the contractor announced that full-depth base repairs were underway on Ridgewood Drive north of Lawson Road. The old asphalt has been milled out and removed. Driveway apron repairs are underway on the property side of Ridgewood Drive south of Lawson Road.

Drainage work on Ridgewood Drive off Bay View Drive, north of lake bridge, and wearing surface asphalt on the north side of the southbound lane of Ridgewood Drive is underway.

In the upcoming week, property owners with property between 424 and 482 Ridgewood Drive, 425 and 469 Ridgewood Drive, at 101 Lawson Road and 100 Cherry Hill Road, between 485 and 521 Ridgewood Drive and 486 and 532 Ridgewood Drive can expect to be amid roadwork.

In the upcoming week, contractors expect the final asphalt wearing to be completed on Ridgewood Drive north of Lawson Road and the median curbing work to be completed on Ridgewood Drive south of Lawson Road.
