DAPHNE, Ala. — Daphne police today arrested a North Carolina man they say has been living in the Jubilee City after being convicted in 2007 for solicitation of a child by computer to commit an unlawful sex act.
Police said North Carolina authorities had been searching for John Ashley Dunn since he was released from prison in that state. North Carolina officials learned the man was living in Daphne, according to a Daphne PD news release. Daphne police aided an investigation that revealed Dunn was living in a Lake Forest condominium.
Dunn was arrested at his work place without incident, according to police, who said he is charged with failure to register as a sex offender.
Daphne police are continuing an investigation that they say may result in more charges.
