Richard “Rick” Koenig, 63, a native of New York and a resident of Loxley, died Sunday, April 19, 2009.
He served in the U.S. Navy, attended the Loxley First Baptist Church and was an automotive enthusiast to include classic cars and motorcycles.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Reynolds Koenig of Loxley; three daughters, Sherry Dewrell and Vicki Booth, both of Robertsdale, and Melissa Eubanks of Pensacola, Fla.; son, Stanley Koenig of Loxley; his mother, Geneva Gravette Koenig of Robertsdale; brother, Gary Koenig of California; godson, Derek McNellage of Silverhill; uncle and aunt, Ken and Lollie Gravette of Silverhill; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 22 at Loxley First Baptist Church with the Rev. Bo Rice officiating. Burial followed at Baldwin Memorial Cemetery in Robertsdale.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the Boy Scouts of America Troop No. 45, Robertsdale, AL . 36567.
