The Knights of Columbus Fr. Ryan Council 2737 will host their 11th annual Team Trivia Fundraiser on Feb. 7 at the Christ the King School gym in downtown Daphne.
One of the largest trivia competitions on the Eastern Shore, the event is expected to draw more than 40 teams competing for $1,050 in cash prizes according to a news release.
The evening will begin with a catered pulled-pork BBQ dinner prepared by Chef Bob Coppoletta, served from 6 p.m. until 6:45 p.m. At 7:15 p.m., teams of up to six players will face 49 trivia questions. The top three teams will win $600 for first place, $300 for second and $150 for third. An optional 50/50 Split-the-Pot Raffle will also be available.
Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at the door, with a total of 264 tickets available. Organizers note the event has sold out in previous years. Participants without a team will be placed on one, and those who wish to attend only for dinner and to observe the game are welcome. Attendees must be 13 or older, and teenagers must be accompanied by an adult.
Tickets can be purchased by contacting Alan Carrio at (251) 689-7577, Tim Dees at (251) 654-1387, or in person from Kim at the Christ the King church office during regular hours. More details are available at www.kofc2737daphne.com under the Team Trivia section. Net proceeds from the fundraiser support local charities through the Knights of Columbus.
