Ruth King, 74, a native and resident of Foley, died Wednesday, April 15, 2009, at her residence.
She was the head majorette for Foley High School, class of 1953.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold King.
Survivors include a son, Dwight “Bo” (Sharon) Dearmon of Gulf Shores; daughter, Cheryl “Sherry” King of Foley; two grandchildren, Jude (Mindy) Dearmon, and E3 Jason Lucas Dearmon; great-grandchild, Lily Pandora Dearmon; sister, Lorraine (Robert) Banks of Augusta, Ga.; other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 19 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Foley. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 20 at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Bon Secour. Interment will follow at Witt Cemetery, Bon Secour.
