If the kids are already asking, “What are we doing today?” this week’s calendar has plenty of answers — and maybe even a few ways to keep the “I’m bored” blues at bay.
Young adventurers can set sail at PirateCon, where treasure, crafts and a walk across the plank await, while little readers can journey through stories, songs and plenty of imagination at local storytimes. There’s even a book club for budding artists who like their reading time with a side of drawing and creativity.
Older kids and teens have a chance to get crafty, too, with a paint-and-sip program that puts a whimsical twist on beachy art. From pirate adventures to storybook journeys and colorful creations, there are plenty of ways for young explorers to make something, learn something or simply have a good time. Just remember: Treasure hunts are encouraged, but finding something fun to do should be the easy part!
