The holiday season is in full swing, and Baldwin County is offering plenty of festive fun for kids and teens.

From training as Santa’s helpers at Elf Academy to movie nights, craft-filled parties and playful teen activities, there’s something to keep every young holiday enthusiast entertained. Families can enjoy hands-on experiences, tasty treats and opportunities to make memories before Christmas arrives.

Many of these events are free or budget-friendly, so families can enjoy special moments without stretching their wallet.

TEEN KINDERGARTEN PLAY DAY

What: The Fairhope Public Library will host Teen Kindergarten Play Day for teens to unwind after the semester with Legos, perler beads, playdoh, finger paints, board games, rainbow loom crafts, cartoons, candy and even bean bag seating.

When: Friday, Dec. 19, 2-4 p.m.

Where: Fairhope Public Library, 501 Fairhope Ave., Fairhope

Price: Free admission

CHRISTMAS MOVIE NIGHT: THE POLAR EXPRESS

What: The City of Orange Beach Coastal Resources Department and the Hugh S. Branyon Backcountry Trail will host a showing of “The Polar Express” at Al’s Parkour Park. Free popcorn and hot chocolate will be served. For questions, call (251) 981-1063. Parking will be available at the Sportsplex Trailhead.

When: Friday, Dec. 19, 5 p.m.

Where: Al’s Parkour Park, 4385 William Silvers Pkwy., Orange Beach

Price: Free admission

WINTER WONDERLAND KIDS FUN NIGHT OUT

What: The YMCA of South Alabama will present Winter Wonderland Kids Fun Night Out for children ages 6 months to 14 years. Participants will enjoy themed games, arts and crafts, dinner and other activities while caregivers take the evening for errands or holiday plans. Registration is available online or at any YMCA branch.

When: Friday, Dec. 19, 6:30-10 p.m.

Where: YMCA of South Alabama, 6779 Spanish Fort Blvd., Spanish Fort

Price: $25 for the first child, $15 for each additional

ELF ACADEMY AT OWA

What: OWA Parks and Resort will host Elf Academy, an interactive holiday experience where children can train to become honorary elves. Participants will explore activities throughout Downtown OWA, complete elf school tasks and earn an official elf certificate. Details are available at https://visitowa.com/elf-academy/.

When: Saturday, Dec. 20, 1-7 p.m.

Where: OWA Parks and Resort, 101-N South OWA Blvd., Foley

Price: Admission varies

FOLEY PUBLIC LIBRARY KIDS CHRISTMAS PARTY

What: The Foley Public Library will host a Kids Christmas Party at the Foley Civic Center. The event will feature visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus, Christmas carolers, craft and cookie decorating stations and a hot chocolate bar. Santa will also share a Christmas story. The event is designed for children and accompanying adults. Ages 15 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. Drop offs are not permitted.

When: Monday, Dec. 22, 5:30-7 p.m.

Where: Foley Civic Center, Foley

Price: Free admission
