Michael Joseph Kaiser, 92, born Oct. 6, 1915, a lifetime resident of Elberta, died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2007.
He was a respected farmer and a lifetime member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church. Papa was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He was the last of the first generation of Kaisers to settle in Baldwin County.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mike and Magdelena Kaiser; three sisters, Anna Grossel, Magdelena Monaghan and Betty Robinson; brother, John Kaiser Sr.; and daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Kaiser.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Helen Kaiser; three sons, Mickey (Nita) Kaiser; Kenny (Marie) Kaiser Sr. and Denny Kaiser; 12 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. with Mass of Christian Burial at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28 at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Elberta. Interment will follow at Prince of Peace Cemtery.
The family requests memorial donations be made to St. Benedict School in Elberta.
