The Junior Auxiliary of the Eastern Shore will host its annual Project Prom event Feb. 27 and 28 at Fairhope High School, offering free formal wear and accessories to local high school students preparing for prom.

The event is open to the public at no cost and is designed to ensure students can attend prom regardless of financial circumstances. Each student who attends will be able to select one free formal gown from an inventory of more than 1,000 dresses in sizes ranging from 0 to 20.

In addition to gowns, students may shop a wide selection of shoes, jewelry and accessories to complete their look. The event will also feature door prizes, including gift cards to local businesses, professional photo sessions, flowers and other items donated by community partners.

Project Prom will take place at Fairhope High School, located at One Pirate Drive in Fairhope. Hours are 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 27, and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Feb. 28.

The Junior Auxiliary of the Eastern Shore is a volunteer organization committed to improving the lives of children and families in the community through service projects and partnerships with local schools and nonprofits.
