Ardus Livingston Jones, 91, born in Upson County, Ga., and a resident of Bay Minette since 1973, died Sunday, April 1, 2007 at his residence.
He was a retired service technician with Uysis Corporation; a member of Clarkston Masonic Lodge No. 492 F. & A. M. in Macon, GA and a lifetime member of Yaarab Shrine Temple in Atlanta.
Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Lillian “Bill” Herron Jones of Bay Minette; nieces and nephews, Barbara Herron Taylor of Mobile, John L. Herron Jr. of Hattiesburg, Miss., Jackie Herron Jones of Memphis, Tenn., Don Becker of Bay Minette, Mary Windham of Montgomery and Jim Jones of Atlanta; a number of grand-nieces and nephews; and his sister-in-law, Ina Becker of Mobile.
Graveside funeral services were held Wednesday, April 4 at Bay Minette Cemetery with Minister Bob Fetters officiating.
Active pallbearers were Johnny Herron, Frank Taylor, Forrest Herron, John Langham, Steve Windham and Don Robinson. Honorary pallbearers were Tommy Langham, Woodrow Porter and Jimmy Faulkner Sr.
Arrangements were made by Norris Funeral Home, Bay Minette.
