Billy Gene Johnson, 80, a native of Mississippi, and a resident of Fairhope, died Saturday March 28, 2009.
He was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church, where he served as an elder and deacon. He was a one time commander of the American Legion Post 199 Fairhope. He was also a member of the Fairhope Masonic Lodge. He worked as a purchasing agent at Poser Business Forms in Excel for 25 years.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Rebecca Ann Johnson
Survivors include his wife, Annie Josephine Johnson of Fairhope; daughter Connie (Leslie) Stejskal of Fairhope; son James “Jimmy” (Brenda) Johnson of Fairhope; five grandchildren, Laura Figurilli, Leigh Rogers, Lacey Stejskal, Linde Stejskal and Brandon Johnson; two great-grandchildren, Adrianna Figurilli, Libby Rogers.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 3 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 4 from the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens of Fairhope.
