John Wendell Pipkin Sr., 79, a resident of Bay Minette died Friday, Aug. 23, 2013 at Ashland Place Nursing Home in Mobile.
He was a heavy equipment operator for the State Highway Department.
He is survived by his son, John J. Pipkin of Bay Minette; and his daughter, JoAnn Pipkin of Robertsdale.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ada Mae Pipkin.
The funeral service will be held Monday, Aug. 26, 2013, at 2 p.m., at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home, with the Rev. Joe Welch officiating. Burial will follow at Bay Minette Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday, Aug. 26, 2013, from 10 a.m. until the 2 p.m. service time.
