John E. Vargo, 82, a lifetime resident of Elberta, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2014.
Johnny was a lifelong farmer, member of Saint Bartholomew Catholic Church in Elberta and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emery and Mary Rose Chranko Vargo.
He is survived by his wife, Lois Vargo of Elberta; and many close cousins and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held from Saint Bartholomew Catholic Church on Friday, Sept. 19, 2014, at 3 p.m., with Father James Dean officiating.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow in Prince of Peace Cemetery.
