John E. Brodbeck Sr., age 90, a resident of Point Clear, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2016.
He was especially proud of his WWII service as a member of the U. S. Navy Armed Guard.
Mr. Brodbeck was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Ann Brodbeck; sister, Dorothy B. Pacey; and brother, Arnold M. Brodbeck Jr.
He is survived by his son, John E. Brodbeck Jr. of Point Clear; daughter, Debbie (David) Ellis of Point Clear; eight grandchildren, Katherine (Junior) Lalisan, Carolyn (Eric) Hudson, Anne Mayre Brodbeck, Abigail (Daniel) Sims, Victoria Brodbeck, Jonathan (Page) Ellis, Matthew (Molly) Ellis, Emily (Joel) Richards; 15 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held from the Redeemer Lutheran Church, Friday, Aug. 26, 2016 at 11 a.m.
The family will receive friends at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
Interment will follow in Memory Gardens of Fairhope.
In lieu of flowers, in memory of John E. Brodbeck Sr., the family suggests that memorials be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church, 200 S. Section St., Fairhope, AL 36532.
