John A. Norris III passed away on May 20, 2026, at the age of 74. John was born on May 31, 1951, in Foley, Alabama. He made his home in Mesquite, Texas, where he lived most of his life. John built a strong and dependable career in the transportation industry, first as a truck driver and later as a dispatcher before retiring. He was preceded in death by his parents, John A. Norris Jr. and Louise Norris, and brother, Jeff Norris. John is survived by his siblings: Glen Norris (Jane), Stanley Norris, Tina Constable, Bo Norris, and Louann Hernandez (Ramon), and numerous nieces and nephews. John will be remembered for his love of football, NASCAR, and, most of all, his family and friends. He never missed an opportunity to laugh and share good times with his family and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held on a future date.
