ORANGE BEACH, AL - The wait is over. Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band, will perform at The Wharf Amphitheater for one night only, Tuesday, May 31 at 8 p.m., as part of his “I Don't Know'” Tour 2016.

Local Parrotheads won't want to miss their chance to soak in the full Margaritaville experience.

"We are so happy to welcome Jimmy Buffett & the Coral Reefer Band back to the beach,” Wharf owner Art Favre said. “This concert is always one of the best parties of the summer and the Parrotheads from all over the Gulf Coast come out to celebrate. Fans won’t want to miss this great concert – it’s always a night to remember.”

This is the sixth show announced for The Wharf's C-Spire Concert series for 2016.

Just Tuesday it was announced Brantley Gilbert with special guests Justin Moore & Colt Ford were added to the The Wharf Amphitheater’s summer schedule.

Gilbert will take the stage on June 26 and tickets go on sale this Friday, Feb. 12 at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster and at The Wharf box office. Tickets for this show will be $59.75 for general admission and reserved seats will be available for $59.75, $34.75 and $24.75.

A Chris Young show for April 16 was announced on Jan. 25 and tickets for that show are available now. They are available at The Wharf ticket office or through Ticketmaster and are $55 for general admission or reserved seating at $55, $39.50 or $20, plus other fees and service charges. Special guest will be Cassadee Pope.

Earlier it was announced that pop country duo Florida Georgia Line will play the venue on May 13. Prices for tickets are $39.75-$56.75.

Pop country star Keith Urban will be making a stop in Orange Beach on his RipCORD World Tour 2016 at the Amphitheater at The Wharf on June 16. Ticket prices and date of sale have not been announced for Urban's show.

Also coming to the Amphitheater this year is the Twenty One Pilots Emotional Roadshow on Aug. 5. Tickets for that show range from $21-$41.

Parrotheads have already given the “Fins Up” for the first ever floating Margaritaville Restaurant and 5 O'Clock Somewhere Bar aboard the all new Norwegian Cruise Line, Norwegian Escape. It’s based in Miami and sails the Caribbean Sea.

Meanwhile, back on land, the idea of turning Margaritaville into a musical has been percolating for quite a while but now it's gearing up to make its debut. The musical will have its world premiere at the La Jolla Playhouse, in La Jolla, California, in May 2017.

It will feature the music and lifestyle of Jimmy Buffett, from an original story, and includes both new songs and the most-loved Buffett classics. Speaking of Buffett classics, the most famous of them all, "Margaritaville" has been inducted into the 2016 Grammy Hall of Fame for its cultural and historic significance.

Only those recordings that have influenced and inspired both music creators and fans for generations are considered for this most special honor.
