Jacob Jewell, 74, a former resident of Selma and a resident of Foley, died Friday, June 8, 2007.
He was preceded in death by his son, Rick Jewell.
Survivors include his wife, Gail Smith Jewell of Foley; sons, Greg Jewell of Birmingham and Chris (Sallie) Jewell of Gulf Breeze, Fla.; sister, Jean Jewell Asquith of Huntsville; brother, Jerry Jewell of Orrville; two granddaughters; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Sunday, July 15 at Mack Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Nale officiating.
Graveside funeral services and burial were held Tuesday, July 17 at New Live Oak Cemetery in Selma.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the Alabama Baptist Children’s Homes-Central Administration, P.O. Box 361767, Birmingham, AL 35236-1767.
Funeral arrangements were made by Mack Funeral Home, Robertsdale.
