Jessie Lev “Richie” Philyaw, 63, born in Saraland and a resident of the Horseneck Fork community of Bay Minette, died Sunday, April 13, 2014 at USA Medical Center in Mobile.
She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Barry Philyaw of Horseneck Fork; seven children, Tracie (Johnny) Holder of Bay Minette, Terry (Colleen) Philyaw of Bay Minette, Jennifer Philyaw of Bay Minette, Brian (Ashley) Philyaw of Foley, Katie Philyaw of Bay Minette, Emma (Walter) Capers of Perdido and James Ray Philyaw of Bay Minette; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Jimmy Richie of Mobile; four sisters, Bertha Cooley of Mobile, Mary Owens of Foley, Lucille Warren of Robertsdale and Martha (Roger) Brewton of Bay Minette.
The wake will be held Wednesday, April 16, 2014, from 6 p.m. until service time at Community Holiness Church in Horseneck Fork.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, April 17, 2014, at 11 a.m., at Community Holiness Church in Horseneck Fork, with the Rev. Joe Welch and the Rev. Phil Bryars officiating.
Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery.
