Jerry Wayne Elrod, 65, a native of Birmingham and resident of Fairhope, passed away at his residence on Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013.
He was a U.S. Marine veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Ella Mae Elrod of Fairhope; one daughter, Shannon Elrod of Birmingham; three stepsons, Melvin Daniel Wilson, Jamie Edward and Phillip Len Wilson, all of Baldwin County; six step-grandchildren; sisters; other relatives and friends.
Graveside services and interment will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013, at 2 p.m., at the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery at Spanish Fort.
