Jerry Andrew Merchant, 64, a native of Fairhope and a resident of Daphne, passed away at home Sunday, June 8, 2014 with his family at his side.
Jerry retired from the city of Fairhope in 2011.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Bessie Merchant; and his brother, Aubrey Merchant.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Donna Merchant of Daphne; three children, Sean (Kim) Merchant of Elberta, Paul (Sabine) Merchant of Fairhope and Carrie Merchant of Newport News, Va.; a stepson, Marc Lewis of Daphne; a sister, Linda Merchant of Fairhope; six grandchildren; and many other loving relatives and friends.
A celebration of life service will be held Thursday, June 12, 2014, at 11 a.m., in the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Daphne. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time.
A private interment will be held at a later date.
