The Fairhope-based concert series Live at Five is preparing for a massive autumn at Halstead Amphitheater.

To kick off their fall 2026 season, Live at Five announced that six-time Grammy winner Jason Isbell and his band, the 400 Unit, will headline Live at Five's opening night on Thursday, Sept. 24. As of publication, June 10, tickets have already sold out.

Ben Jernigan, executive director for Live at Five, said since he joined in 2022, the group has worked towards bringing more national touring acts to Fairhope, including sold-out shows such as JJ Grey and Mofro, the Marshall Tucker Band and Wilco.

"Jason Isbell's agent reached out to me and said 'Why don't we try this?'" Jernigan said earlier this week. "We went through the whole thing and here we are and it's going great. We're within 100 tickets of being sold out right now."

The Jason Isbell show serves as the first of four shows Live at Five has scheduled through the end of the year, with additional shows scheduled for Oct. 23, Nov. 20 and Dec. 18. Details are being kept under wraps for now, but Jernigan teased that the artists coming are all national touring acts, with another announcement to come within the next week.

"There's always been a real cool demand for these sorts of things," Jernigan said. "There's a lot of ingredients that make the Halstead Amphitheater work well; the fact that it's in a neighborhood and it's golf cartable for people that come to it. It's just a really cool family-friendly environment."
