Jasmine Maria Joiner, 18, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013 in Bay Minette.
Ms. Joiner was a native of Southern Pines, N.C. and a resident of Bay Minette for most of her life.
Ms. Joiner was a graduate of the Baldwin County High School Class of 2013, a student at Faulkner State Community College and employee of Frosting on Top Bake Shop.
She was a princess to her family. She attended Fretwell Tabernacle Church.
Survivors include her father and stepmother, Willie and Amanda Joiner of Silverhill; mother and stepfather, Teresa and Anel Ortiz of Bay Minette; one sister, Wilhelminia Joiner of Bay Minette; grandparents, Lois Porter of Fairhope; step-grandparents, Ronnie and Shirley Johnson of Arlington, Ala. and Mislael Ortiz of Puerto Rico; boyfriend, Derrick Lyons of Bay Minette; two special aunts, Sonya Kimrey of Raleigh, N.C. and Elizabeth (Ashley) Witherington of Stapleton; uncle, Donnie Floyd of Pinehill; aunt, Angela (Ken) Autrey of Thomasville, Ala.; and three more aunts and four uncles and their spouses, all of North Carolina.
Funeral services will Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, at 10 a.m., at Fretwell Tabernacle Church, with Sis. Helen Stewart and the Rev. Larry Davis officiating. Burial will follow at the Dean Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday, Oct. 4, 2013, from 6 p.m. until funeral time at Fretwell Tabernacle Church.
Pallbearers will be Elton Brooks, Cody Foster, Bubba Porter, Billy Joiner, Dustin Lyons and Jerry Stewart.
